     Background

Interleukins are a class of cytokines produced by and acting on multiple cell types. They play important roles in signal transduction, activation and regulation of immune cells, mediation of T and B cell activation, proliferation and differentiation, and inflammatory responses. The primary target cells of IL-7 are lymphocytes, with growth-promoting activity on B progenitor cells from human or mouse bone marrow, thymocytes, and mature peripheral T cells. (1) In synergy with stem cell growth factor (SCF), it stimulates B precursor mitosis, an effect inhibitable by TGF; however, it has no significant effect on pro-B cell growth. (2) It promotes the maturation of double-negative thymocytes and provides the initiating signal for TCR gene rearrangement during embryonic thymocyte development; however, it has no significant effect on mature T cells. (3) It induces LAK cell activity from thymocytes or peripheral blood lymphocytes, with the effector cells primarily being the CD8⁺ subset; however, IL-7-induced LAK cells do not possess NK activity. (4) IL-7 stimulates myeloid precursor cells and megakaryocytes to produce colony-forming units and platelets, facilitating recovery from cyclophosphamide-induced immunosuppression; at higher concentrations, IL-7 also enhances macrophage cytotoxic activity and induces monocyte cytokine secretion. This product is expressed in CHO cells, featuring high purity, high activity, and freedom from animal-derived contamination.

    Directions for Use

This product is in lyophilized powder form. It is recommended to reconstitute with sterile water, PBS, or other suitable buffer to prepare a stock solution at 0.1–1.0 mg/mL.

After complete dissolution, further dilute to working concentration using culture medium according to experimental requirements. Aliquot for single-use storage and store at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to maintain product activity and stability.

Optimal cytokine concentration may vary across different cell types and culture systems. Optimization and validation based on specific culture processes and experimental objectives are recommended to achieve the best culture results.

    Transport & Storage

    Ice pack transport.

Store at -20°C or below, protected from light, moisture-proof, and sealed. After reconstitution, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Minimize product exposure to room temperature during handling to ensure product activity and stability.

    Applications

Recombinant Human IL-7 is an important member of the γc family of cytokines, regulating T cell and NK cell proliferation, survival, and functional activation through IL-7R-mediated signaling pathways.

    Widely used in:

    • T cell expansion and activation

    • NK cell culture and functional maintenance

    • CAR-T cell manufacturing process development

    • CAR-NK cell culture

    • Tumor immunology research

    • Immune cell therapy process development

    • Cytokine functional research

    • Biopharmaceutical R&D

IL-7 plays an important role in maintaining the survival of naïve T cells and memory T cells and promoting T cell homeostatic proliferation. It is one of the key cytokines commonly used in the cell and gene therapy (CGT) field.

    Precautions

    • This product is intended for research, process development, and biomanufacturing use only. Not for diagnostic, therapeutic, or clinical use in humans or animals.

    • Use the product as soon as possible after opening. Unused portions should be promptly sealed and stored.

    • Maintain aseptic technique throughout reconstitution and handling to avoid microbial contamination.

    • Aliquot for single-use storage to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles that may compromise product activity.

    • Optimal IL-7 concentration may vary across different cell types and culture systems. Determine optimal usage conditions through preliminary experiments.

    • Read the product technical datasheet carefully before use and follow relevant experimental protocols.
