    Background

    Recombinant human interferon gamma (rhIFN-γ) is a soluble homodimeric protein composed of 143 amino acids. As a type II interferon and key proinflammatory cytokine, IFN-γ is primarily secreted by activated T lymphocytes (particularly Th1 cells and cytotoxic T cells) as well as natural killer (NK) cells. IFN-γ signals through a heterodimeric receptor complex composed of IFNGR1 (CD119) and IFNGR2. Upon receptor binding, it activates the JAK-STAT signaling pathway (primarily involving JAK1, JAK2, and STAT1), leading to the transcription of numerous interferon-stimulated genes (ISGs) and thereby mediating its broad biological effects. Beyond direct inhibition of viral replication, the more prominent role of IFN-γ lies in its immunostimulatory and immunoregulatory functions, such as enhancing NK cell activity. This product is recombinantly expressed in E. coli, featuring high purity, high activity, and freedom from animal-derived contamination.
